PiS's surprising decision on Czarnek: "He would have 100 percent support"

The PiS board is to ask Jarosław Kaczyński not to resign from the party's chairmanship at the upcoming congress, which is scheduled for June 28, Wirtualna Polska reported. Kaczyński is to be convinced, which will mean that he will continue to lead Law and Justice.

– Kaczyński endured the fact that Tusk removed him from power. He put up with it, like the entire party. Now he won the presidency. In two years, he wants to fight perhaps his last battle and chase away the “redhead”. After that – maybe – he will give up the party. That is, the function of the chairman, because he will never give up the party. It is his life – one of the PiS politicians told WP.

At the congress, Kaczyński is also expected to nominate Przemysław Czarnek for vice-president of the party. Delegates will have to accept this decision or oppose it. According to unofficial voices, the former head of MEiN "would have 100 percent support, because he is one of the top leaders" of Law and Justice.

Until recently, there was talk behind the scenes that Kaczyński would become a kind of "honorary president" or "head of the party's supervisory board", and Mariusz Błaszczak would take over the party. However, such a scenario was supposed to be a "trial balloon" often encountered at Nowogrodzka, to check reactions.

Other speculations say that Kaczyński would "somehow appreciate the role and contribution of young representatives of the party to the party and the presidential candidate" at the congress. Law and Justice should draw more conclusions for the next campaign. - Correct the communication, change something in the message, think about the strategy of building relations with other formations - mentioned a politician close to Nowogrodzka.
